Saturday, March 9 and Saturday March 23, 9am - 12 noon at The Quilters Hall of Fame. The cost of two mornings of instruction is only $50.
Learn to make this traditional pattern, Rail Fence, in a finished size of 48" x 60." Participants will need to bring their own sewing machines and basic sewing supplies (scissors, seam ripper) and have a basic knowledge of sewing. We will provide rotary cutters, cutting mats, and rulers and a kit of fabric to work with.
Class #1 will cover fabric preparation, cutting, rotary cutter safety, use of rulers, accurate 1/4" seam, reading a quilt pattern, abbreviations, and working with fat quarters. Some sewing will be included in class #1.
Class #2 will provide more time for sewing, and a demo on quilting with a walking foot and finishing a quilt including measuring for backing and binding.
